Dr. Seraly is a licensed physician in the state of Pennsylvania, New York, Florida and West Virginia and a board-certified dermatologist since 1994.  He received his degree in Medicine from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA (now named the Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine) and completed his dermatology training at the University of Pittsburgh where he also served as Chief Resident and Director of Clinical Services in the Department of Dermatology prior to entering private practice in 2000.  Dr. Seraly is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pittsburgh Academy of Dermatology, American Telemedicine Association and previously served on the American Academy of Dermatology’s telemedicine task force and Vice-Chaired the American Telemedicine Association’s teledermatology special interest group. He currently serves on the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), National Institutes of Health (NIH)- Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB).  Dr. Seraly has an active clinical private practice in dermatology with a particular interest in acne, skin cancer, surgical skin cancer management, infectious skin diseases, autoimmune skin disorders, teledermatology and cosmetic skin care.  Outside of the office, he is a professional oil painter.

Carly loves all things related to beauty and skin care and incorporates that love into all of her services ranging from lashes to results-driven skin care. In her free time, she enjoys learning about how to advance her treatments by staying on top of the latest innovations in skin care and our skin care products. She has been doing lashes for 4 years and has been in the skincare industry for a total of 5 years. Hello! I am Maria Lu Ventura, PA-C, one of the Physician Assistants at Seraly Dermatology. I am pleased to announce that I am joining our very talented and experienced aesthetician, Carly Little, in providing cosmetic procedures and services at our medical spa, Seraly Skin Lab. I have over 19 years of experience in Clinical Dermatology. Prior to dermatology, I practiced as a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant specializing in venous diseases and sclerotherapy. 

Skin care has always been my passion. Starting at a young age, I was always intrigued by how skin care products and cosmetics worked.   Over the years, I have collected hundreds of skin care products and at-home cosmetic gadgets (such as ultrasonic spatula, microdermabrasion kit, and LED light treatment to name a few) and enjoyed trying them on myself, family, and friends. 

I had my first bout of cystic acne in my early 20s. It was an eye-opening experience as I realized how a skin condition could affect multiple facets of my life - physically, emotionally, and socially. Aside from dealing with the day-to-day pain of my acne lesions, I dealt with low self-esteem due to fear of embarrassment and fear of being judged because of my skin condition. As a result of my first-hand struggle with acne, I empathize with my acne patients as I understand that acne is not just a skin condition, but it encompasses so much more. Here at Seraly Dermatology and Seraly Skin Lab, we offer various treatment options for acne.  One of the treatments is Aviclear, the first and only FDA-cleared laser treatment for acne, and how I wish Aviclear was available for me back then.  

Now that I am in my 40s, my skin concerns have shifted to hormonal acne, dark spots, fine lines, and loss of skin elasticity.  With the help of our experts at Seraly Dermatology, I have achieved a healthier and younger looking skin. Some of the treatments that I have tried and experienced amazing results were: PCA chemical peels, SkinPen Microneedling, microdermabrasion, and botox injections. Recently, I had my first InMode Morpheus8 treatment,  a microneedling radiofrequency device, which effectively stimulates collagen production. This procedure helps to address the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, sagging skin, and other signs of skin aging.
